We are planning our honeymoon to Hong Kong and Im not sure whether we are going to get a better deal by approaching hotels directly, or going through a travel agent? We are looking for a package that offers anything from a room upgrade, to breakfast or other meals included or other little extras (eg goodies on arrival, massages etc).
Does anyone have any recommendations of hotels suited to a honeymoon?
We are going for 10 nights in Feb 09 so Ive still got plenty of time to research!
Thanks!

Hongkong? But this is the Bangkok forum.
Anyways, if money is no object, then you should spend your honeymoon at Peninsula Hongkong...they will treat you like royalty. Otherwise, Langham Place (in the Mongkok area) would be a more reasonably-priced alternative. In Hongkong Island, you can check out the Mandarin Oriental or Marriott.

OK, now we have started the Hong Kong forum... You almost always get a better deal from the internet agents. Just google hotels +hong kong and you will get several options. But if you stay for 10 nights I recommend you, after first checking the internet-price, to also contact the hotel directly and ask for a better price or upgrade. I agree with Dragonman for the excellent Langham Place, Mongkok. Another cheaper option is Eaton, where you can get good bargains, Early bird-prices, directly on the hotels home page.

Eaton is a favorite hotel of mine in HK. If not for their small rooms, I would give them high marks all around. SHould you go for this, make sure you get one of their suites.
