Domestic Flights in Thailand

Hello,
On arrival at Bangkok airport we plan to catch a domestic flight straight onwards to Phuket. The question is should we book online through the airlines websites or are we better off buying tickets at Bangkok Airport. Which option is more suitable in terms of cheaper price and seat availability?
I would really appreciate any advice in this regard and which reliable airlines would be recommended.

HI tyrone, ive done both options.I always prefer to have it pre booked.When slecting flight time allow enough time to arrive ,collect your bags and then on to the domestic terminals on the other side of the airport.One of my flights was cancelled as i was queing to check in.They denied it was ever on the board but I dug in and they allowed some extra allowance on the baggage before putting us on a later flight.
When I booked on the day there were enough seats on different operators but you may have to just wait for a couple of flights to get the time and price right though.

Would agree with Lester and think it is always better to pre book if you are able.

Thank you Lester and Darrin. I appreciate your advice and would book online. Can you recommend an economical airline. So far I heard about Air Asia that its quite economical.

Hi ,yes ive just booked my flights from and to phuket with air asia in August.There is a great offer on at 49bht.I think it is due to end this weekend though.
