Hi RICHH, My family have stayed there twice and our last stay was in May 2008. We highly recommend it as we have thoroughly enjoyed our stays there. It is at the southern end (quiet) and it takes as little as 10 to 15 minutes (depending on how many stops and how quick you walk) and you are in Bangla Rd. There's a 7 eleven 100 metres up from the Seaview to get those supplies or keep the kids in supply of slurpee's (large 18BHT or 60c AUS approx). The breakfasts are delicious and the wonderful staff are helpful and the rooms are clean. Not all rooms have a seaview or balcony though. As far as December's weather is concerned I dont know as we have only been in SEPT / OCT / APR & MAY. December's weather should be at its best as it is the high season. But who really knows with the weather today. You will have a great time and feel free to ask any further questions as the forum is the best place for good advice. regards os2go

Hi RICHH I'm at the Seaview now everything os2go says is spot on staff are great etc we are in room 207 overlooking the pool. The only problem we have had has been the noise from the work going on at the hotel behind the Seaview at the Duanjitt I think it's more than likely to be finished by December though. Regards RED

Hi RED, We arriving early next month for 2 weeks at the Seaview. Hope you don't mind but what room numbers would you recommend? We have 2 x superior rooms books for our family. Could you please elaborate on the construction noise next door? Have you gone out from in front of the hotel on a longtail around to the snorkelling beach? Any feedback would be really appreciated.

My hubby and I stayed at Seaview with friends (23rd july-3rd aug). We had rooms with a balcony, ocean and pool views 208 & 209. These two rooms had inside joining door and was on the second floor. There was a little noise as they are building more rooms behind, it didn't worry us as we didn't spend much time in the room throughout the day.By the time we settled back in our rooms the works had left. The staff were friendly and very accommodating as Thai people are in general.Breakfast had a large varity of food to eat, even icecream and waffles. The price was fabulous. We took a tailboat out for 3 hours (1200bht).We went by Freedom Beach and then drop off to Paradise Beach for lunch. You can snorking out from both of these beaches. I must recommend you having a foot massage (250bht)or oil massage(500bht) at Leelawadee only 120 meters from the hotel. The ladies are fantastic and very professional. 7 Eleven and family mart only 100 meters. taxi's available across the road for tours of the island. Patong Merlin would be my next choose if unable to get accommodation at Seaview. You will enjoy the Seaview. dello
