Hi All,
I've found 2 other hotels that look good, any feedback on the Baan Saladaeng and The Ramada D'Ma Hotel?
Cheers,
Stewie.

Hi Stewie

Stayed at the D’Ma in 2005 before it came under the Ramada banner but I imagine it is about the same. The selling point for us was the separate shower and bath. The room and bathroom were both quite spacious. From memory, I think we stayed in an executive room and breakfast in the executive lounge was very nice. Location wise there is a train station (Makkasan) behind the hotel but it is quite far from the skytrain. I believe the hotel is close to the shops in the pratunam district but we must have been walking in the wrong direction as we never made it there, though we walked to Central World plaza which took us about 30-40 minutes.

Hope this info helps,
Robyn

There's really no significant comparison between the two...Baan Saladaeng is an almost brand-new designer residence (only 9 guest rooms with unique designs for each) with a good location in Saladaeng (just a 3 minute walk to the skytrain/subway) while Ramada D'Ma is your standard tourist hotel which lacks proximity to the skytrain. It is a competent choice for accomodation, but I would rather that you give Baan Saladaeng a try so you can give your inputs here.

Baan Saladaeng looks very unique indeed. The rates are very reasonable as well. Good choice if your preferred location is Silom.
