Can you buy Iphones in Bangkok and if so what sort of price? Getting it unlocked isn't a problem as I know it probably wont work for our networks.

Please dont pay those sort of prices for an Iphone.Yes they are great phones, I have one myself. But on July 11th they are bringing out the new Iphone which is 3G and is only going to cost £100 UK Pounds. My original was £295 just last November. If you can wait until July 11th you will get a much better buy. Cheers Glyn

That would all depend on if you want to go onto a 24 month contract or not, yes the iPhone in Australia will be released on the 11th July with Telstra, Optus & Vodafone but they are all on contracts or prepaid locked, average cost for a 16GB model with Optus is around the AU$800 to $900.
Wait till the 11th and see what all the Aussie Telco's offer, but they won't be $199 or $299, they will however be that price with 24 months of payments to follow. Hope this helps.
