Im going to reach krabi on 29th April Tuesday, and i wonder weather i should do my booking on the net or search for a hotel of my choice in Krabi itself. I know may is Holiday season, but its hot so its not peak toursit season, and its mid week so do you think i could get better or same rates on walk in
I see a hotel called Phra Nang Inn at my budget price of 3200 bahts. Do you reccomend this for families, i have 2 kids. In case you know....is Alis hotel better, its called a hot deal at Hotel Club, and the price is the same

The Krabi Sands Resort is down near the Sheraton, etc and for only a 3 star resort, is excellent. Josh is the name of the manager, he speaks english really well and is very friendly. There is a pool and bar/restaurant across the road on the beach, not that it's a great beach, though.
Rooms are basic, but have everything you need. Take a look here;

Hi, yes the Krabi Sands have beautiful bungalows. Klong Muang beach is very authentic still. Also there is Ko Kwang Guesthouse. More simple There are some big hotels, but when their guests get out - the locals still say hello.
All depends on the luxury you want. If you book by Internet some hotels have very big discounts untill 75 percent

Now In Au-Nang, there are a lot of the nearly complete hotel & Resorts.
In Dec, 2008 is the best time for travel to krabi
